Aeonium aureum
Pot Size

Aeonium aureum is a striking species whose color varies with the seasons. In summer, it may blush with shades of pink or purple, while in winter, the rosettes open fully before closing into tight, rounded balls during dormancy. It usually forms a single rosette, though hybrids with A. dodrantale may produce offsets.

Family: Crassulaceae. Subfamily: Sempervivoideae. Tribe: Aeonieae. Genus: Aeonium

Aeoniums prefer cool, mild weather and go dormant in summer. They grow best from winter to spring when temperatures range from 65–75 °F (18–24 °C). Keep soil lightly moist during the growing season. Less watering during summer dormancy unless leaves begin to shrivel.
