Conophytum bilobum is a small succulent with bodies of two opposite, only partly fused leaves, heart-shaped to rabbit-eared in side view, with keeled or rounded tips.
This species is a winter grower, becoming dormant in hot summer months. The flowers are yellow and usually appear in fall. It is a perfect choice for plant lovers who enjoy low-maintenance succulents that still offer unique textures and natural character.
Care & Growing Tips
-
Prefers bright light but avoids intense direct sun, especially in hot afternoons.bring indoors if temperature drops too low.
-
Use a fast-draining, porous soil mix (succulent/cactus mix or gritty, inorganic substrate) to prevent root rot.
-
Follow a “soak-and-dry” watering method: water deeply but rarely; allow the soil to dry completely before watering again. Avoid over-watering — especially during dormancy.
